arcwi Posted April 24, 2014 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Hello all, I am configuring a new shop, where I was contemplating using the language / localisation to change the reference to manufacturers with brands, as that is the way we refer to the manufacturers in my part of the world. Then, when loading the suppliers, I noticed that there is very limited description of the account manager - in opposite to the manufacturer section, where a very comprehensive address section is available. Is not this supposed to be the other way around - basic description of the manufacturers and comprehensive description of the suppliers? On the surface of this, I thought I could just substitute "supplier" with "brands" and then do same for the manufacturers, substitute "manufacturers" with "suppliers". But then I thought, would not this interfere with the manufacturer's slider I have, also I need to present the manufacturer's logos on the product page, and I am not sure if I can show the supplier's logo instead. And this is where I have stuck! I'm thinking, surely this must be a common challenge to all the 600,000 installations Prestashop is claiming, surely they must have found way of dealing with this... Does everyone sources their products direct from manufacturers, so there is no really need for suppliers? Please, people, share your set-ups with me.
