Adding stock movements via web service API

Hello everyone,

 

I am integrating with a third party data provider (inventory system). I need to create a utility which 1) adds a new item to the shop 2) creates an inventory receipt for a certain qty of the product. I will also need a functionality to make a remote inventory adjustment of the item (plus or minus). I understand that I can add a new item definition via the web service, however stock movements cannot be updated via web services and can only be read. Is there ay solution besides direct DB access?
