suptech
Hello,A client is complaining that he cannot install PrestaShop on his dedicated server. The error that is stopping the install process is "Allowed to upload files". What does that mean? File uploads is enabled in PHP. Can you be more specific?Thank you. TropischBruin
He should have the rights to upload files (eg. photo's etc.).Without this you cannot use PS to the fullest.
suptech
Thanks for the answer, but my problem appears on the 2nd step of the install procedure. It is not a user management/acl problem. The software either needs some PHP setting or a certain filesystem permission, however from that error I cannot figure out what exactly. rocky
I don't know much about PHP settings, but I just checked my php.ini and found file_uploads = On. Does your php.ini have that?

Like I said before, PS needs to upload files like photo's when adding/changing products. This could mean that you need to (re)-configure your php settings on your server but I'm not sure why this is related to PS as this is normal/standard on any server and NOT PrestaShop related. Patric
Try to put a phpinfo in his account and check the file_uploads parameter's value (On/Off ?)
suptech
Hm, thanks Patric, there seems to be a glitch there between the "local" (off) value and the "master" (on) value. php -i from the cli only reported themaster value
