[PARTIALLY SOLVED] 2 major issues: 1)pdf invoice greek characters 2)mail format for the mail alerts

these are the issues i have found out:

1)no matter what encoding-font combination i try pdf invoice cannot be properly displayed in greek

2)mail alerts are working but... i take this in my mailbox:

SOLVED!

Atleast in my case, the language I downloaded had either faulty or old files in /roor/mails/lang-iso/ folder. Contained these \n\r as in your post. The working files, from english that came with my download, are clean:

With emails I had the same problem, I set up to send text emails only and edited the .txt emails in the mails/ directory and manually removed the \r & \n...

Did you try replacing your /mails/xx/ with /mails/en/ ...? I think this problem occurs because of outdated mail templates, using the new ones from the english or french language packs that come installed by default should solve your problem and let you use html mails again. Just delete your /mails/yourlang/ and make a cope of /mails/en/ and rename it /mails/yourlang/ and you should be fine once you've translated them into your language :)
