Database difference from 1.5.2 to 1.5.6.2

Please, can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the database used for version 1.5.2 and the one for version 1.5.6.2

 

I want to update a shop but prefer to do it on a test folder with a copy of the database, once all is working like I want I intend just to use the "old" database by editing settings.inc.php, is this possible ?

 

This way I would not loose any new customers or sales during the time I check the new version. I have to check because I modified some php files and a direct update is not possible.
