SB Lite
Hi Im getting duplicate Meta descriptions and title tags on a lot of my pages, for example: /spot/584-intimidator-beam-350-781462209179.html?content_only=1 /spot/584-intimidator-beam-350.html /spot/584-intimidator-beam-350.html?content_only=1 It seems the content only is the printer verison. Jacopo
same problem here! Anybody has a solution? Google webmaster tools tells me that I have duplicate description in these pages: /index.php?id_product=18&controller=product /malnido/18-stola-lino.html or /content/3-condizioni-generali-vendita /index.php?id_cms=3&controller=cms Edited July 10, 2014 by Jacopo (see edit history)
Dh42
The solution is to use a canonical url on your site. You can buy a module for it, or you can program a string replace on the url in the template that does it.
Denisnadal
Another person tellme the solution Disallow: /*content_only=1 in robots.txt

Denisnadal
I think that the solution "Disallow: /*content_only=1 in robots.txt" no is the best. I think is better to make a 301 redirect or use a canonical urls, but I have a big confussion with this, is complicated for me and I don't know what I can do. I'm gone

Denisnadal
I bought this module, the problem is solved. http://addons.prestashop.com/es/seo-modulos-prestashop/7228-duplicate-content-handler.html I'm not sure, but you can write at the end of the file. When I wrote I had another code in my robots.txt but I think doesnt matter.
laziali
Hello people, similar problem here on my categories pagination, but the strange thing is only desc are duplicated everything is fine with met titles! Makes me wonder if my problem is somehow related only to descriptions.has anyone seen something like that? thanks alot Edited: ok, i got my problem fixed - solution i found here in the forum. in my header.tpl file ive changed one row to {if isset($meta_description) AND $meta_description} <meta name="description" content="{$meta_description|escape:html:'UTF-8'}{if isset($smarty.get.p) && $smarty.get.p} ({$smarty.get.p}){/if}" />{/if} now my meta desc appear with page number at the end, just like my titles, so i guess its all ok now Edited January 28, 2015 by laziali (see edit history)
