Kabarl
I am starting an online art print business using PrestaShop1.6. My problem is setting up the shop to deal with different types of packaging for the same order. A3 and A4 prints must be shipped flat-pack and any number of prints (within reason) can be shipped in one package, therefore one shipping charge to the customer. A2 prints must be shipped in a tube (and the tube could contain multiple A2 prints), therefore one shipping charge to the customer. The problem arises if a customer orders both A2 and A3/A4 at the same time - both packaging methods with be required and two lots of shipping expenses will be incurred. I cannot seem to work out a way to setup PrestaShop to charge the customer at checkout for two sets of shipping costs where there are two package types (i.e. a combination of A2 and A3/A4). I want PrestaShop to recognise when two different packaging types are required and charge the customer once for each method at checkout. I do not want to charge for shipping on an individual print basis as this would not be fair to the customer, i.e. if they bought 10 prints (which would fit into one package), they would be charged for 10 lots of shipping! Hope this makes sense … any help would be very much appreciated.
