multistore query

so i was using multistore for a while as my theme did not support having multi language banner pics per language and some other reasons.

 

now my new theme is ok with this.

 

So i was sharing stock of course but now i have disabled multi store.

 

issue now i cannot change stock.

 

my test store which was at 1.5.6.0 worked fine and i could update the stock.

 

however on my live store which is 1.6 cannot it says i am not controlling right group etc.

 

Anyway when i disabled multi store. it lost all customization and i had to re-do.

 

 

 

I do not want to enable multi store switch of shared stock and loose all quantities and then disable again and have to redo all site customizations and stock quantity updates.

 

I googled this and the forum and found an older 1.5 had this bug and it was fixed but now it looks returned.

 

so i made a bug request. does anyone know a way i can fix this manually.

 

i have tried adding a quantity in the database but it doesn`t read it.

 

looking for suggestions on what to do because even if this bug does get fixed it`s going to take a while i would assume since only just released 1.6.0.6
