i think responsive theme is bad for seo

a lot of css and js include in the responsive themes, many web page size is more than 200k, it's too big for the search engine crawler

google have 2 different crawlers, mobile crawler and standard crawler.

 

so i think mobile version is better than responsive version for mobile crawler, standard version is better than responsive version for standard crawler

 

mobile version + responsive version is cheaper than responsive version

According to my experience, RWD is good for SEO, here are the details:

 

1. Yes, google maintain separate option for mobile site however it als comes with a challange that you have to put different content in both the websites, which will be cumbersome and costly.

 

2. Mobile website having separate url which will require separate off page seo to get the things on top.

 

3. RWD is having trend, this wilk be liked by visitors and may try to surf pages, this will decrease bounce rate.

 

4. About heavy weight css or js, we can always compreass those files.

This is not true that responsive websites are bad for SEO. Infact, Google recommends to create responsive websites. If you have any evidence that responsive website is harmful for SEO then please share.

Responsive design can be "harmful" for SEO only in the meaning it often increases overall page HTML source code which change content to code ration to worse values. However, if responsive design is done perfectly (responsibly ) ) it's not the case.
