papagino
Hi folks, I just install Prestashop 1.6.0.5 on a subdomain on my host for testing to eventually replace my existing shop. Everything was working fine, except that today, there was an update for module "Home text editor" (now version 2.5). Now, It won't upload image for "Homepage logo", I click to add a file, select a local image, click on save and no image appears either in Backoffice or Frontoffice. I also notice that on the new module version 2.5, there is now the text "Homepage logo" in front of the "Add file" box that wasn't there before. See images below: Anyone else have this problem and how can I fix this? Cheers Dan
papagino
Found the problem... apparently, on the new version of "Home text editor" v2.5, the module is not creating the folder "img" under /modules/editorial/img. So if you had not added an image with this module prior to v2.5, there's a good chance that you will see this problem. I just copied the folder content from the previous version to its module directory and voila, now the image appeared and I am now able to upload or change the current image... Cheers solved Edited April 10, 2014 by papagino (see edit history)

Cheers solved No solved for me Hometext 2.5 for me puts the images I add into "prestashop/img/cms" folder. But for you its "modules/editorial/img" Yet when it tries to access them, it looks in the root folder (before "/prestashop") "/img/cms" So.. I needed to copy the images there. But this is a pain because everytime you update the images you need to recopy the images everytime. Is there some way to patch hometxt "editorial.php" so that it can reference the images from where it actually soteres them! lol. Or maye correct the links or something. The homeslider also has a similar img reference issue, so they must be a way to fix it correctly. papagino
Hi dsc54000, In my case, it was a fresh install, and I updated the module before ever entering any data to it, That's why I suspect that version 2.5 was not even creating the img folder at all. Here is what I would try in your case, disable the module then uninstall it, then delete the module. After that, clear your Smarty Cache and the cache in your browser. Then reinstall the module and see if the problem is still there. Be sure to backup/copy any data you have entered in the text area of the module before doing so, so you want have to redo everything from scratch again. Hope that help Cheers Dan Edited April 13, 2014 by papagino (see edit history)

When i did "clear cache" my home page had a blank screen. I then re installed and then realized there is a new prestahop 1.6.0.6 update from 3 days ago. After updating i found out the image problem is now fixed. Just need to redo all those CSS and .tpl hacks i done. So for me, the issue is fixed on new update.
