heykart
One developer told me to choose opencart over prestashop because he said once your shop grows ,there will be a lot of bugs which need to be fixed by prestashop for a fee.Is this true? stottycabanas
Hi heykart, short answer is no, it's not! Firstly, there is no particular correlation between the size of your shop and the number of bugs. That would be the case for most e-commerce packages, I suspect. Prestashop is free and open source. As with any software, there are of course bugs and they will usually get fixed in future releases - also free. If you can't wait, you or a developer can fix it yourselves. You can add your own improvements as you see fit or make use of many free or paid themes and modules that are available. What isn't free is formal support from Prestashop. However there is a very active community which provides support via these forums and I believe for many, if not most, Prestashop users, that's all they need. Hope that helps you in making a choice. Cheers, Dave
El Patron
in all honesty to run any website requires multiple disciplines of knowledge. If one does not have the knowledge then they will require some other resource to help them.
