Clients cant add coupons in cart using Chrome

Good day everyone,

I'm facing a serious problem that i cant find out how to solve.

 

I'm using prestashop 1.6.0.5, fresh install, default theme, no files changed, no extra modules.

 

In Chrome, when client tries to checkout (step 1, cart page), the "delete" button (to remove an item from the cart, last column) does NOT appear.

 

Also, the "insert coupon code" cell is empty. No text, no text-box to insert code, no button, nothing.

 

Checked in internet explorer and it all appears.

 

 

Is this normal, or maybe some problem caused by translations (bigger words than in english making stuff to not appear for lack of space?) ?

 

I have a few, small, very small, knowledge of css and html, changed some cart stuff on 1.5 version, but cant see to find where to change in this version.....

Empty div, same applies to the voucher td / div, empty.

 

I also noticed that when the page opens, the voucher content is there for a milisecond second ( if i spam the reload button i can see), i can even click in the text box of coupons, but it instantly disappears. This only happens for the voucher div, not the Delete button. The delete button never appears in my Chrome.

 

For the record, my chrome extensions are: Firebug lite, google docs, ad blocker.

I have the same problem here

 

I'm using PrestaShop™ 1.5.6.1, pretty basic.

 

Yesterday I did a voucher try-out and also encountered the same problem as a customer on Chrome.

I can't fill in the voucher code on my PS webshop because the box doesn't appear.

 

I tested Safari and there was no problem, it worked flawless.

 

I really don't know what to do, help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Having the same problem. Hope to find some clues on how to solve this.

 

Edit: I also found that when I try in Chrome incognito mode it works without any problem but not in normal mode. Any expert know why is that so?

 

Edit 2: I tried to clear cookies in normal mode and it works again. Apparently it has to do with cookies or cache.

I have same story, both FF and chrome are not showing voucher box and trash icon. Works fine in incognito mode on both browsers.

I'm using default theme and same issue for me on first build in 1.6 - delete button and voucher code box missing.

you use some plugin to block custom contents ? for example add block ? they can block fields like that

Same problem here with Chrome.

FF is all ok. Voucher field + Bin appear.
This is the source from chrome :

I use P.V. 1.6.0.6.

For info, I've tried to modify shopping cart.tpl bby changing id="cart_voucher" to id=cart_voucher2 but it messed up my page which became all blank.

I don't want to modify this file anymore.

Any clue of what could cause this ?Thank you.

Using 1.6.09, today surprisingly also noticed no trash can, and no voucher option.

 

Not singed in to my prestashop store, refresh browser with ctrl f5 also does not work

 

Works in IE 8.0!!!

Just small notice, that voucher code input is not showing on default theme on prestashop 1.5 version as well (google chrome)

The same for me.

Many customers reported us they abandoned their cart when they were not able to input the voucher we sent!

 

I'm just wondering what the PS crew is doing for this bug/behaviour since Apr 09 2014, it's passes 6 MONTHS !!!

 

Guys, c'mon, it's pretty easy to understand that is something that is affecting many installations, please even if this is not 100% due to a PS bug you could release a fix to do the same differently, in a safe way.

Please, even if it seems a stupid issue, actually it is not stupid, it directly affects Customers, each problem (even the smaller one) during the purchase step can easily become an abandoned cart!!

 

PLEASE PRESTASHOP CREW, PROVIDE US A FIX OR AT LEAST A WORKAROUND !!!

I have the same problem. Can't add voucher code when using chrome. It used to work in chrome as well but i think after i updated to the latest version it stopped working.

cases like that usually arent related to prestashop malfunctions,

usually it's a case of some modules that hide this stuff, or some css code to hide coupon block etc.

 

case definitely needs individual inspection.

I have a similar problem but only with Safari. I don't have any extensions or ad blockers installed... just a fresh install on a new Macbook.

 

The voucher input and trash can don't display.

 

Does anyone have a fix for this yet?

Same issue here... 1.6.0.8 from Chrome on PC never noticed and some friends could not use vouchers for a while :S

 

If refreshing and deleting cache and cookies voucher field+tray icon work for few millisecs then disappear again.

Same issue for me, in FF and IE trash icon and vouchers are visible, but in Chrome (tested on few computers) they disappear (they appear for only like half a second when refresh the page). My PS 1.6.0.9

 

I checked if it's shopping-cart.tpl file fault, but it's not.

 

I uninstalled PayPal module and trash icon and vouchers field came back on place, however it would be nice to keep the PayPal module. Any help will be appreciated.

Solution only for voucher....  "trash icon remains hidden"

 

Go to themes/your theme/shopping-cart.tpl

 

In the file shopping-cart.tpl, try to find this line:

Make this change:

Do you think that is doing the same? I tried and worked but am not sure if this affects other functionalities and the page you linked to is this same thread so can not read elsewhere, sorry if bothering you. Not being a dev and trying to guess I tried both cart_voucher2 and 5, both worked....isn't that strange?

You have to unhook Paypal module from displayHeader.

 

With this solution you fix the voucher box problem and the trash button too.
