Do not make the zip code a required field

Hello I'm using PrestaShop 1.5.6.1 and would like to make the ZIP code a not mandatory field.

I'd need to know if you are using the default 5 page check-out or One Page check out or a third party module.

 

But for exsample with one page checkout, in your theme find order-opc-new-account.tpl.

 

You'll see regular fields use <p class="text">

 

The requiered fields use <p class="required text">

 

Basically you just need to remove the word "required"

its enough to just remove "required" from class param?

i think that it's necessary to change also settings of this field in controller :confused:

My understanding is that by changing the class from <p class="required text"> to <p class="text"> avoids the routine on some fields but not all. The telephone required field for example.

Not working for me. 

 

In BO update NO to Localization > Countries >  delete zipcode from the form.

How to set Prestashop to ask zipcode, but not required.

prestashop 1.5.6.2

Any solution for this? Thank you.
