Invoice number doesnt update

I have a recent problem that I dont know how to fix. I want to update the invoice number to a higher number because in Spain we have to have different numeration between years. So because Prestashop has to have always a higher invoice number I decided to update the number. 

 

The problem is this number doesnt update. I write a higher number, I save and it doesnt affect the count Prestashop has but it does it well, counting correctly but with the number he previously had. It worked well a few times back so I dont know where to look to fix it. Someone knows?

 

I use Prestashop 1.5.4.1

Hi again

I still dont know why Prestashop was doing this but I managed to fix it. If someone has the same problem this is what I did:

 

- I went to phpmyAdmin and inside the prestashop database in ps_configuration I changed the PS_INVOICE_START_NUMBER that has 1 as id_shop to the number of the invoice I wanted to start.

 

Prestashop showed me at first the old number but I created an invoice and all worked perfectly
