Mukesh Ravi
Hello All, As we all know that Prestashop1.6 front-office and back-office both are responsive. While creating any module is it mandatory to use helper form. when I am creating module without helper form (put direct html code), ther is no error but it is disturbing responsive. So is it mandatory to use helper ?? Also is there any way to create module without helper and maintaining responsive?
bellini13
it is not mandatory. I have a few modules that support PS v1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 and do not use helper forms, since they do not exist in all versions of Prestashop. The modules work just fine. bellini13
Yes billini, Modules works fine. But in PS 1.6 without helper form they are disturbing layout/responsive not true. You still have to style your config pages properly to conform to PS 1.6, but using the helper is not necessary.

GS VISION
Is there any other documentation on how to use helpers in modules? I`m struggling with the official as it covers template overriding much wider than using in modules
bellini13
have you tried to read the developers guide in the resources menu?
GS VISION
Yes, and managed to do it after reading it ten times and frankly I`m not sure I can do it again without referencing documentation again.
