Any account validate by email module? Activationbymail empties cart on registration

This free module, activationbymail, empties the shopping cart when the customer registers during the process of placing an order. The solution for Prestashop 1.5 posted doesn't seem to work for 1.6 shop.

 

Otherwise, the module works properly with email validation sent and account activation. However, it is a big problem that it empties the shopping cart.

 

Is there any other module that would do the same thing and works in 1.6 or does anyone have this working properly in 1.6?

I installed this module in my shop and realized once the customer clicks the activation link, a leads to an error.

 

I am using Prestashop 1.6+ and my site name is www.carledindia.com

 

Is this module not compatabile with 1.6?

I'm having the exact same problem with the activationbyemail module.

The shopping cart is emptied when the message about the activation is displayed to the customer.

 

I guess the session is being reinitialized or something, can someone please point to a solution?
