Missing Categories In BO

Some of my categories seem to be missing in my BO.

I uploaded about 200 products that were labeled with categories, but I can't find the category in BO to edit it.

When I search, then view the product on the front end, the breadcrumb doesn't make any sense.

Any suggestions?

in categories you have 2 options , one is to edit one is to view , if you have parent directory they will list below that parent .

if the number of products goes over 100 presta shows the firs 100

there is a option to change it, say 150 or 300

This isn't the problem.

When I try to add a product to the category, it's still not there. The category definitely exists, because it's the default category. The problem is that it isn't in the list of categories even when I expand to view all. It DOES show up in the search. The other thing is the breadcrumb shows it under categories that don't have anything in them and can't be expanded.
