Please activate the 'mod_auth_basic' Apache module to allow authentication of PrestaShop's webservic

After one click upgrade to 1.6 everything seems fine but I need webservices and get the following errors on web services page. 

• To avoid operating problems, please use an Apache server.
• Please activate the 'mod_auth_basic' Apache module to allow authentication of PrestaShop's webservice.

Seems odd since it's on Litespeed and mod_auth_basic seems to be a default install, plus it was working on the last version (1.5.6)  just fine. 

 

Any ideas appreciated.

Update,

Just did a fresh install of 1,6 on the same server and has the same error. But no such error on PS 1.5.6...?

I assume your server is IIS?

It's Litespeed, which I thought was a kind  of Apache, but have just seen that mod_auth_basic should show up on a phpinfo display, but it's not showing up for this server. Looks like I don't have it after all.

I have just checked with the host and they have confirmed that mod_auth_basic is enabled on the server, and is working correctly. Is it a Litespeed thing?

Ahhh, fixed it. Nothing to do with litespeed or those errors. The script I was using to test was using an outdated version of PSWebServiceLibrary.php, only a couple of weeks old but old enough, downloaded the new version from

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop-webservice-lib/master/PSWebServiceLibrary.php

and all is well.
