The prestashop is too slow. Oscommerce is a lot faster.

The prestashop is too slow.
I have deleted the files in smarty/compile and the $smarty->force_compile in smarty.config.inc.php is also set to false.

I have used oscommerce for more than 3 years now, but wanted something new and found prestashop, however now I really think of going back to oscommerce.

Any help to get to speed up the webshop, or should I just hit the osc-road again???

I see a lot slow prestashops around on the web, but only a few speedy ones!

you want a speed shop,or an efficient shop?

in the first case, people will run, and go away as fast as they cross the place... in the second one, they will slowly read, explorate... appreciate, and perhaps buy(My hope for you)...

Do you like, when you go to a restaurant with your [spam-filter](or [spam-filter]) a fast dinner, poor ? or a slower one, rich, pleasant?
and go back with the feeling of a good time spent? (without a feeling like 'it was expensive, and I worried')
Just think a few minutes of this, and come back again...

i found out prestashop more user friendly and more easier to use, and more functions too.....

It all depends on your server.

I have 1 osCommerce shop and 1 PrestaShop, on the same server and they are both fast enough.

The osCommerce shop is Fully Loaded, the PrestaShop lacks a lot.

I'll guess in time both will be PrestaShops.
