price discrepancy between email sent to shop owner and what was actually charged

Hello, I have a strange issue in that in the BO the total for example for an order is:

Products 34,49 €
Shipping 9,19 €
Total 43,68 €

whereas when an email is sent to the shop owner:

HCL-100-30 29,99 € 1 29,99 €
Products 39,66 €
Discounts 0,00 €
Gift-wrapping 0,00 €
Shipping 10,57 €
Total paid 50,23 €

I don't get the discrepancy?!

It seems the email is sent in pound (£) whereas the shop is configured as euro (€) but then I don't see where the 39.66 € comes from.
Also the Shipping is different where 9.19 € is correct, but the 10.57 € again i am unsure as to how this is calculated.

The order in the BO shows the correct amount paid and also the user paid the correct amount at PayPal, it is just confusing that the email that is sent shows a totally different value.

Any advise much appreciated.
