rvzoest
Hello fellow users. I am running into problems reconfiguring my 1.5 theme to 1.6. What I noticed is that Prestashop doesn't accept the changes I make like contact information, sitename etc etc. I want to clear the cache which I have done in the menu but I want to clear the cache manually to be sure. Is there any safe way to do this? Thanks in advance! Edited April 2, 2014 by rvzoest (see edit history)
dioniz
You can go to yourdomain/cache/smarty/cache and delete all folders to clear cache To clear compiled files you can go to yourdomain/cache/smarty/compile and delete all folders. Don't forget to turn compiler on if you have it set to Never recompile template files, in BO > Advanced parameters > Performance

rvzoest
regarding to the back office and changes. you don't see changes in front office only? or also in BO? In the end, after flushing/deleting the cache it didn't do anything HOWEVER ... when I repaired the module the old data (after cache deletion) re appeared and I could change them. Weird.. The data changed was not displayed in front or in the back. And I still can't rename the shop, a thing which keeps me bugging a long time.. The only way I could do that is in the database which I'm a bit affraid of. Edited April 2, 2014 by rvzoest (see edit history)
