Randaal
I am looking for the almost same answer - except for I am urrently using 1.5.6.0 and I want to move all products, categories, and customers into a new installation 1.6.0.5 made from sratch to avoid updating issues and to be honest - to avoid mistakes that I've made during creating my first Prestashop store. I was thinking about copying parts of my MYSQL into the new one - wil it work and what tables should be and what tables shouldn't be copied? Ray UK
I did suggest prior to 1.6 being release that there should be an option during a 1.6 install that says. IMPORT DATA FROM A PREVIOUS STORE Then you enter the other database connection details, and that should allow you to choose Select data to import:- Products Stock qty's customers orders etc Someone needs to make a module to do this job. It would save a lot of headaches for people, and the same question being asked over and over Id do it myself, but I dont have a clue where to start lol
MagneticOne
Hi everyone! You can also check Cart2Cart for automated PrestaShop to PrestaShop import. It allows to avoid any mistakes during the transfer and get thing done in less than a few hours. Best Regards, MagneticOne Team
