The prestashop 1.5 doesn't use the same system of image as older versions : Go to Preferences > images > in the bottom of the page , click on "move images" , after that the process has finished , click on "Regenerate thumbnails" . When finished > chose Never recompile template files or Recompile templates if the files have been updated. If I change the template will all work? And if you include Friendly URL will work too? When regeneration and upload new pictures will be no problems? For the template, in the image side i think there will be no problem, but other things i don't know (compatibility) , the best, as you know is to test always in a no production environment.
