coolpapes
btw. if you want to use this module in the way like in prestashop 1.5 (as a totally separated block) check this simple video: It looks like the video got cut off at the end. It looks like you were about to modify homefeatured.php.
TTNZ
I have enabled the feature but for some reason the product text corrupts the alignment now see: www.touratech.co.nz - I have selected 16 items for the home page (does the same with 8). Any ideas how I bring this back to align in a grid mode?
prestamax
Any ideas how I bring this back to align in a grid mode? reduce the number of items per row (2, max. 3 items would be a good number for 3 column layout) You can do this in product-list.tpl Edited March 27, 2014 by prestamax (see edit history)
TTNZ
Thanks for your help, however it does not appear to be that. On version 1.5 it would show the header text and photo of the product only, but now it is including the short description. Due to the various lengths of the descriptions it is pushing the griding out. I may have to open another topic as not sure if this is related to the original question :-)
prestamax
You can hide the description by adding #homefeatured .product-desc { display: none; } to your stylesheet. But you seem to have some other problems too. For example the price ... it appears twice. Are you using the homefeatured module that comes with prestashop 1.6 or is it from a previous version? TTNZ
I have left the modules as they are since the upgrade however today Prestashop requested I upgrade 50 of the modules. Apologies, I am a noob, so not sure how to edit my stylesheet.
TTNZ
Ok, once I read what you said above, I uninstalled that module and re-installed and it seems to have resolved that problem (Only another 1000 to work through :-) ) Thanks again!!!
prestamax
Looks much better now! But you have still some remainings from the old version. You have a second contact link that is pushing the search form out of line. The search form should change place with the cart module. You can change the module positions in Module => positions
TTNZ
Awesome!!....thank you...I feel like I am finally getting somewhere. I think the key is to get rid of the old modules and re-install the existing ones when doing the upgrade. The site has finally come back to life :-) Really do appreciate you assistance with this....very kind.
