Back Office Error

Hi,
I installed Prestashop 1.2.4.0 on the local and at the end of installation, it says that "Installation is complete" .

I deleted the installation directory and renamed the ADMIN directory to admin1.

But when I click on "My Back Office" link, it shows a blank page with this error :

HTTP 404 Not Found

please help me ! what should I do ?

Don't for get to change the link in your browser to take you to the correct directory.
It would normaly take you to yoursite/admin/login.php you will need to make this yoursite/admin1/login.php

So you have to change the corresponding part in back office url...

When you click on the link to take you to the back office the link takes you to yoursite/admin/login.php as default.

As you have changed your admin as directed to something else (admin1) you should enter into your browser yoursite/admin1/login.php and it will now take you to the login on the back office.

Yes, I did that. It asks me for E-mail address and password. But after I enter them, that error occures !
Also, it change the main address to :
http://localhost/PrestaShop v1.2.4.0/admin1/1/

look at the 1 folder at the end of the address !

if I change the name of ADMIN to admin2, it will add a 2 to the end of the address like this:

http://localhost/PrestaShop v1.2.4.0/admin2/2/

I have the same problem.

I installed Prestashop. FrontEnd is working fine, but I can't access the admin.


1- I delete install folder + rename admin folder "admin1"
2- On the admin login page, I write my login + password.
3- I click connexion
4- I receive the following error:

Not Found

The requested URL /[folder_name]/admin1/1/login.php was not found on this server.


Is it an URL rewriting problem? Please help!
