Darkmarauder
I've been trawling through the search results on the forum and unfortunetly not managed to come up with an answer to my question, so...I need to configure the carriers/postage so that there is one cost for the UK and a different cost for the rest of Europe as my supplier charges this way.I was guessing that I would create another zone called 'UK' and withe weight ranges already set I would put the prices in for each weight range for Europe and the UK.But, the question is: how would Prestashop know to select the right one? chrissie
depends on the customers address - if they are in Europe then their only option should be the European shipping
Darkmarauder
yes fair enough, I just need it to be able to tell the difference between a UK address and that of a mainland europe address. I've only ever set up shops that sell to the UK Only before.
chrissie
I might be just misunderstanding you, but as long as you have all of your European countries within the zone 'Europe', then your checkout will do the rest.
Darkmarauder
Yes I think you may have misunderstood.I need to seperate the postage for Europe and the UK, as the cost is different.
chrissie
Set up two CarriersFor example - I use Royal Mail Recorded Delivery (for the UK) and Royal Mail ISF (for Europe) - then add the relevant zones to each carrier.

nicolas92
Just create the area which include the countries where you are shipping. For example, I created the following areas :- "France" which includes one country : France- "Europe" which includes all the European countries, including the new ones (Romania, etc..)- "Outside of Europe" for Switzerland, United Arab Emirates- "DOM TOM" for the french islands which have a specific postal rate (Tahiti, Martinique, Guadeloupe..)Each of these area have a ship rate which applies automatically when the customer select his country.Hope this helps,Nicolas
