nekvapor
After I upgraded to the new version my product image quality is very grainy. Example here... https://nekvapor.com/en/starter-kits/23-joye-ecom-kit-double-pack.html Any idea how to fix this? They showed up fine before upgrade. nekvapor
Have you regenerated your images after upgrade? Yes I have regenerated my image files. This even happens when I add a new product as well.
Augitec
I think it because of image sizes. Setting in PS 1.6 is ( large_default 458 x 458 px ) but your original image is only 200 x 200 px. The same is with thumbnails and other images. The solution i think would be - to upload bigger images or edit images settings to fit your old images and regenerate them again

nekvapor
System regenerate from orig. pictures I changed my large_default setting to 200x200. So this needs to be 456x456 and I need to change all my image sizes to this size?

nekvapor
Ok I set my large_default to 465 and regenerated my images but the small thumbnails are still grainy. Is this controlled by the small default image? What setting should I have this set to to to make those images clearer?
clever corporation
Hey. I have also faced the same problem. I have tried the same procedure, but is displayed thumbnail images remain rough as well. It's probably, I think of the program re-create the image can not make works fine. Image to be partially converted If you do re-created - because they exist. I think the current version is rather unstable, for failure to these is large, that it is not a level can be applied to the live site.

jayne514
I also have problems with my images looking grainy but my images are all the same size or smaller than the were in 1.5.6. If you look at the full size of the thumbnails the image is perfect. Just the original display is bad. http://www.practicallyperfectpyjamas.com.au/footless-onesie-s/79-adult-red-bear-bottom-cotton-onesie-pj-s.html please help. jayne514
Smush.it did not work for me as my images were already large. Any other ideas
jayne514
My images are perfect if you look at the fancybox, so they do not need smush.it. The product page images look like they have a film layer over them which makes them appear grainy http://www.practicallyperfectpyjamas.com.au/footless-onesie-s/79-adult-red-bear-bottom-cotton-onesie-pj-s.html The last 2 images were smushed
Super-Shop
Product images are bad quality compared to 1.5 - does not help to argue about it and punt image solutions. Upgrade or new product - images are really BAD!! No need to discuss original image quality, sizes or other trivial issues. This is a PrestaShop 1.6 problem - nothing else. Hope it gets fixed soon. Does not help to have nice new PrestaShop 1.6 bur product images appear to come from the 1980's
