mikey
I'm not sure what you mean but I think you can request your ftp details at your webhosting company.

Bert
530 errors come from the FTP server. The server is rejecting the username/password you entered. The reasons could be an incorrect username/password combination or your account got disabled.
KIH999
Do you have access to Cpanel? Seems like your username is very long.Hmm.. You should have access to cPanel, "scotserve" offer that in hostingplans. Normally you can create another ftp-user from there, or set new password.. mikey
Is your webhosting company by any chance called webfusion? If so, you can contact them at this number: 0845 130 1602 (option 3). Or visit this page: http://www.myserverworld.net/AuthPass.aspx to request your password. As for the settings, they are different with almost every hosting provider. some use a short version of the first registered domain name as username, some use the full address and some, like in your case, use just the bit between http:// and the extension. Good luck!
