nickelus
Hi all, I have spent the last 4 hours trying to make this work, so if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it! I have a specific type of product on my website. The product is T-SHIRTS. ALL my t shirts have the same price (£48). I've been trying to set 3 specific shipping costs for the t shirts for: THE UK (£5.20), EUROPE (£10.25) and THE USA/REST OF THE WORLD (£12.60). Based on some advice, I did the following: I created a NEW ZONE. I named this NEW ZONE 'UNITED KINGDOM'. I then created a NEW COUNTRY. I named this new country 'UNITED KINGDOM' (I also filled in all the necessary information). I then clicked ''states'' and proceeded to spend 2 and a half HOURS filling in EVERY COUNTY in the UNITED KINGDOM (with ISO codes) and linking them to COUNTRY > UNITED KINGDOM, ZONE > UNITED KINGDOM. I then created a NEW CARRIER. Because all my t shirts have the same price (£48) I did: Shipping will apply when: >=£48, <£49. I then selected ONLY the NEW ZONE (UNITED KINGDOM) and clicked SAVE/FINISH. The shipping cost however IS STILL NOT BEING APPLIED. Can someone PLEASE help me? I would be very, very grateful. nickelus
Has nobody got any idea of what I should do? This is quite urgent. Any help would be very, very appreciated
nickelus
Has nobody got an idea? I find it ridiculous that this is supposed to be a support forum and yet this is so overlooked. There are countless others who have this SAME exact problem, not to mention how horrifically bad the whole ''shipping'' issue is with regard to Prestashop. I really need some help and would really appreciate any helpful guidance in the right direction.
stottycabanas
I find it ridiculous that this is supposed to be a support forum The support provided by the forum comes on a voluntary basis from other PS users and the moderators are volunteers too. There are no guarantees on response times, turnaround times, etc. when issues/queries are posted. I suggest you lower your expectations, be patient and polite (go easy on the CAPS) and hopefully someone will come to your assistance soon. Alternatively, you could pay Prestashop for a support contract. Cheers, Dave
Guest
Perhaps if you share a little more information we may be able to help Which version of prestashop Is this live or local (if live what is the URL so we can see) Why set a price range of >=£48, <£49.: I know that logic should work, but why bother if everything is the same price - keep it simply, change the price range to say 0 - £10000 and see if that works
nickelus
Dave, I understand its voluntary and I am very greatful for that. I do feel that I have been polite, albeit frustrated with the fact that the whole issue of shipping is handled extremely poorly by prestashop. One would think that they would work it out with every update, but they do not. Further, the fact that one pays for a product (prestashop software) yet is expected to receive support only in the form of helpful community members, unless one pays for technical support, is, in my opinion, ridiculous. I appreciate what you're trying to say though. Haylau: Thanks for the reply! My prestashop version is 1.5.6.2. The URL is: www.stilllivelucky.com (I will happily grant someone with temp. login details to have a look if they like) I did that because apart from t-shirts, I also sell other items at varying prices. Because all my t shirts are at £48, I decided to make that range so that the cost would only apply to the t shirts.
Guest
Is this correct? I have not created an account but it is showing shipping :
nickelus
Hi Haylau, Are you in the UK? If so, then that IS correct. If you are NOT in the UK, then it is wrong. What is even more confusing is that I AM in the UK, yet I see ''free shipping''. Does that mean there is a bug? Thanks so much for the help by the way. Guest
Yep, I am in the UK. Try clearing all the caches in prestashop AND all the caches in your browser if you have not already. Then in your browser try pressing CTRL+F5 a few times to force it to update If it still shows then there could be an issue somewhere, Try different browsers also if possible
nickelus
Hi Haylau, If you're in the UK then it means it's working. However, I still see ''free shipping'' even after clearing the cache/smarty cache on prestashop and clearing the cache on google chrome. Any other ideas? :/
Guest
Works perfectly for me in all three main browsers When you clear your browser cache, make sure you TICK this top box Otherwise it may be keeping cookies for your website If that fails, then I am not sure You could PM me some log in details and I will have a look, but no promises
