Tomasci
Hello there! I purchased a theme in addons PrestaShop. Because I want my theme to work seamlessly with SSL, and be installed in a just some clicks, I immediatly chose to take a theme from 'cerfified partner'. One would expect that to work fine! Though after having to experiment for about 10 hours now I'm sick of it. I tried the theme installer, didn't work. So I just opened up FTP and went to work. Installation guide following shouldn't be more then 5 minutes. This is what I did: Unpack recieved zipfolder Open Filezilla Copy folders (img, modules, themes) to the PrestaShop root folders Set the the image size (BO: preferences/images) Selected some modules (no extra modules appear in list) Cleaned and disabled cache Modified this post a bit. Template is allmost working now. See shop.lrpartners.eu Though it is not ment to be only for show, registration, purchase and checkout are not possible. (now 10 days after purchase of 'certified' theme, in addons.prestashop) Edited March 22, 2014 by Tomzie (see edit history)
bellini13
Have you reached out to the theme author? It's a paid theme, they should be supporting you.
Tomasci
Have you reached out to the theme author? It's a paid theme, they should be supporting you. Yes I have. I also requested help elsewhere now. Still want to know what went wrong though. I plan to get a few more themes to multistore. Not being able to do this myself creates some doubts in Presta. vekia
Tomzie problems were with: - configuration file of installation package - permissions to files (no possibility to upload due to the wrong chmods) - incomplete settings of modules - incompatibile jquery library (crashing slider, search form and other js things) - SSL probles was related to nonsecured connections to google fonts and to the fact that ps 1.5.6.2 has got bug related to logo (nonsecured connection even with ssl turned on)
Tomasci
Yes. Going a lot smoother now, thanks! Still a few bugs: Visiter is unable to create account and thus check-out in frontoffice. After entering e-mail, the pagecontent goes blank. In sitemap, select manufacturers ('de merken 'by LR'). It says 'no manufacturers'. There are 38 manufacturers. Here you see the empty manufacturers list, next to the full manufacturers module (left). The first visitors view on product listing shows product list, while grid is selected. Meaning a visitor have to click twice (first list, then grid) to get the grid view to work. How can I fix this?
