css background issue

I'm using the default theme with prestashop 1.5.

 

This is the code in global css:

 

#header_right {

    background-color: #FF0000;

    float: right;

    margin-top: 100px;

    position: relative;

}

 

I'm using red background to highlight the problem.

 

At the top i would like to have background: none, and under the slider i would like it to be white.

 

Any ideas?
