Bill Dalton Posted March 11, 2014 Share Posted March 11, 2014 It is telling you that the directory that holds your new theme doesn't have proper permissions set. Also whenever you change a theme you need to clear and turn off your Prestashop cache. Do you know how to set read and write permissions on a directory? Bill Dalton Posted March 11, 2014 Share Posted March 11, 2014 Do you use an FTP program? If so you can set the correct property with that. If you use a online panel provide from your host it should/may have options to set file and directory permissions. If neither of those options are available to you, contact your host and let them know you need to change permissions to allow "write" for your new theme directory. Bill Dalton Posted March 11, 2014 Share Posted March 11, 2014 That would depend on your host. They may have CPanal, or PHPAdmin, there are many interfaces your host may use. I'm sure they have a help section. Best to spend some time and read fully what your host gives you for tools. You are going to be using them often from this day forward.
