BellaV
Hi Vekia, thank you. Yes this is correct. If I rename it in the server will everything be ok, or do I have to rename other links later in the prestashop back office too. So If I want people to find the shop straight on the domain name www.artgallery-vienna.com what could I do. The only thing I can think of is put an index page with welcome blabla ENTER. Please let me know what do you think should be the best idea and thank you very much for your time. KInd regards Bella
vekia
you have to change base_uri and domain field in your seo & urls tab in back office as domain use your sever domain address and as a base uri use /
BellaV
Hello, thank you, but I want my store to be only under the domain name artgallery-vienna.com When I take away the base URI the shop brakes. When I change the name, same thing it breaks and shows me error 404. What can I do?
BellaV
I have copied everything from the prestashop folder to the domain folder. When I put only / in the Base Url it still doesnt work. The main domani artgallery-vienna.com redirects to artgallery-vienna.com/install and shows error 403 forbidden.
vekia
i just thought that you already moved it from /prestashop/ to root dir, your shop was installed before?
BellaV
yes i did move it to the root, the shop was instoled a month ago. I still have the second prestashop folder, I didn't delete it, because once I fucked up everything and now i am afraid to do what so ever. I actually didn't move it, but copied it to the root.
