How do categories are deployed in menu?

When you click the + in a category the subcategories are displayed but when you click on the category name is not displayed in its place is a new page with the names of the subcategories by losing time to the user.

Where and how do you deploy directly PrestaShop the subcategories on the menu?

Another question, to change the order of the categories I just get 01. or # before the name it, but how do I change the position of the articles that appear in the center of the home?

To display your subcategories, try Back Office / Modules / Blocks - configure Categories block - deactivate the dynamic setting. Leave maximum depth at '0'
To change the order of the categories, yes you need to at 01, 02 etc before the name.
To change the position of items on your home page to go Back Office / Modules / Positions / Homepage contents - use the up and down arrows to change positions.

Firstly thank you very much for the quick response, Chrissie :-), however I believe that I have not explained very well. My version of PrestaShop is not the last, and if I go to: Back Office / Modules / Blocks – configure Categories block – deactivate the dynamic setting. Leave maximum depth at ‘0’ the menu disappears, with only those controls can change the depth of the menu and if it is dynamic or static, that's not what I want.

I want the menu appears, as always. Did you see that clicking on the + of dynamic categories, further sub-categories are displayed?

I want the same thing happens when you click on the name of the Principal categories. I do not want is to take me to another URL where the subcategories appear in the center of the page horizontally (where they can add a photo to each sub-categories). I think that way the user loses time to find what want. Do you understand?
