Installation stops at 78%

Hello There,

 

I was about to re install presta shop but now it stops installing at 78%. Every folder got CHMOD 777 but i get the 

 

1. Install Addons modules

 

Error and cant continue installing. Any ideas how to fix? Cant get the reason why installing doesnt work 1 day after the first installation. 

 

Its prestashop 1.6.0.4

I have the same problem, but when I try to access the FO and BO it can, and it looks very nice.

This is what I did:

 

1. See you in localhost installation folder (My Installation: "E: \ xampp \ htdocs \ ps1604")

2. Delete / rename the install folder ("E: \ xampp \ htdocs \ ps1604 \ install-Delete")

3. Open your browser and type localhost address your prestashop 1.6.0.4 ("http://localhost/ps1604")

4. Open your browser and type the address of your admin localhost prestashop 1.6.0.4 ("http://localhost/ps1604/admin")

5. Log in admin page

6. Back view of your installation folder, the admin folder has been changed automatically. ("http://localhost/ps1604/admin" becomes "http://localhost/ps1604/admin1994")

7. Good luck and wait for comments

Thanks for the reply. I have no clue what  happened but after accessing the localhost today presta shop was installed but i never finished the installation, atleast it was useless because the modules wasnt installed but w/e. Btw. is it a good idea to install the latest PS "beta" and configure it for a update on the final version in 8 days? Would safe a lot of time.

I had exactly the same problem. I just ignored the installation error, started FO and BO as you suggested and it worked. Thanks!

 

But I have another problem. When I click "MODULES>Modules" blank page shows: "[PrestaShop] Fatal error in module productcomments: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR". If I select menu "MODULES>Payments" the modules list is shown but also error message on top of a page: "2 errors 

1. productcomments (parse error in /modules/productcomments/productcomments.php)
2. productcomments (class missing in /modules/productcomments/productcomments.php)"

 

Hope you have an idea!

 

PS. All this happened exactly as Vire said: for two days installation (PS 1.6.0.4) went OK, also BO worked as it should, I could create menus, configured modules, products... and then suddenly "Fatal error in modules...", and when I tried to re-install Presta-shop this installation problem arise.

There is a bug in productcomments module and they said installation will be fixed today
