Product combinations structure

I have the level "Product" and level "Combination" which shows all the attributes of the product on each record (color , material, size , ...).

QUESTION: If I had a few "Products" principal, but many "Combinations" and, as a matter of viewing the front end, I wanted to have a view of an intermediate level: for example, see the list of all the "Products - Color", but not declined by size, material, etc., I could do it in some way? Because the problem is that the product attributes are all the same (Color, Material, Size, are managed in the same way), how can I say: group all combinations on the basis of this attribute and not on others? I do not know if it's possible, and if what I'd like to know is clear or not. I add an example, thanks to all .

Maybe I do not fully understand the tutorial, but I can not find the answer to my question. My problem is not to filter combinations, but "increase the main products" rather than see listed the main products I would like to see the products already declined by color, that is an intermediate level between the product and the combination with only certain attributes. How could I do that? Thank you.

I'm not quite sure what 'increase the main products' means, but you could have a look toward the end of this thread, which I believe reflects a similar requirement to yours.
