spirals
Hi all,I'm trying to upgrade 1.4.51 to 1.5.62 and have followed the instructions (backup everything, merge folders, re-upload) but when i go to http://www.lukritiv.com/lshop/install/ it is not loading properly to allow me to go through the installation stages. If you could please have a look and hopefully it's something obvious I have done wrong or haven't done? Thanks in advance.
NemoPS
You can try using the auto-upgrade module, have you had a look at that?
spirals
You can try using the auto-upgrade module, have you had a look at that? Hi and thanks - we had tried that but it wasn't working/installing. I now can't view the site or get to the log in to try again - http://www.lukritiv.com/lshop/adminlshop/
NemoPS
Yikes. Did you replace 1.4 files manually perhaps? now try turning on error reporting as described in my signature if you are on 1.5 files, otherwise edit config, config.inc.php and set display_errors to on, and PS_DEBUG_SQL to true
spirals
thanks for helping..have turned PS_MODE_DEV to true and after going to http://www.lukritiv.com/lshop/install/:Fatal error: Call to undefined method Tools::getOctets() in /home/tull14/public_html/lshop/install/theme/views/welcome.phtml on line
NemoPS
Bad bad. Things got mixed up. replace all files with your backup. Once it runs, try the latest version of the autoupgrade module and see what happens (make sure you create a backup on the fly so it can rollback automatically on fail)
spirals
bugger - ok thanks heaps will do that now. Is it best to just completely trash the contents of the directory and upload from scratch?

NemoPS
Wrong permission I suppose. Set your whole store folder and subfolders to 775. If it doesn't work, try 777 for the upgrade phase only
