Search is missing items

Recommended Posts

In back office, go to Preferences->Search and in the Indexation section click on Rebuild the entire index.

Then try the search again.

For your second point, go to Catalog->Products, find the desired product and click the Edit icon. Then you can key in the desired value into the Reference field.

Cheers, Dave

I rebuilt the index and it did not change the front end search results.  On the second point, the reference field on the item page is blank for the items that DO show up in the search results however they show "--" in the reference field in the index page.  The item in question is also blank in the reference field on the item page but on the main index page it does not show "--".

Any chance you could take your site out of maintenance mode so I can take a look at the search?

Can you confirm your PS version, the setting for minimum search word length and whether the number of products indexed now matches the total number of products.

Can you also provide screenshots of the product information page for (a) the test product and (B) for product 197.

Thanks, Dave

  • 1 year later...

Assuming you have reindex all product

Please provide product name and search string you've used.

Bear in mind that search string cannot be less than 3 alphanum characters so a-1 or a.1 will not enter the search engine
