dave204
Maybe it seems obvious to someone, but I'm just wondering how I start again, with a completely new shop design, once I have used Prestashop the first time. In other words, I have finished development of my current project, and now I just want to go back to a blank shop, ready for my next project, when it comes along. Surely, I don't need to do a complete re-installation of Prestashop?? Thanks in advance!

dave204
I'm running Prestashop on Apache server, through Windows.Surely, there's just a straight-forward to start afresh with a new shop, once you have completed another?!
rocky
It depends what you have changed. If you have only modified files in the theme directory, you could simply copy the themes/prestashop folder to create a new theme and then apply it under Preferences > Appearance. If you have modified other files you will need to overwrite just the files you changed with original copies of the files, then delete your database, reupload the installer, then reinstall Prestashop. If you haven't changed many files, this shouldn't take very long, but if you have modified many files, or don't know which files you have modified and have to upload them all, it could take a while. epicureanfoods.com
Hi Rocky,I would like to try to manage much of the Prestashop maintenace myself. I am not a web programmer but I understand I don' t need to be.I would firstly like to try to import some products on my own. Before I do this on our live site, I would like to try it on a test site. Can you tell me how I would do this?thank youPhyllis
