you have to modify css styles, module positions, module template files (.tpl) and also modify theme structure in /themes/YOUR_THEME/header.tpl + footer.tpl

but in fact, everything depends on what you exactly expect.

it;s not enough to say what you exactly have to change. because, in fact, it means nothing

Good morning

Best thing to do is say:

Are you using default theme or bought

Which version of PS are you using (1.4, 1.5,1.6)

Can you give a URL or screenshot

Ask only one question per topic

This forum is fantastic at helping people but, you need to give more information

i want my logo in the extreme upper left and straight to that log in and register option on the extreme right.

below that i want some text writtten in bold and big letters

then below that a big search box with customized look.

just below the search box i want to mention some of my specialties ( free shipping, cod etc. ), just like it is given in default prestashop theme F9cDH1a.png

then i want to place 4 or 5 blocks horizontally with menu contents like about us, how we work, all products.

so this is a little description of how i want my page to look.

i hope now you understand what exactly i am looking for.

thanks

i have a friend who will be doing it for me but i need to make him understand all the things before he edits my website.

I think you need to provide your friend with a clear specification of your requirements, including mockups of the various site pages. Statements like 'a big search box with customized look' don't say clearly enough what you want.

Once you and your friend fully understand the requirements between you, if there are further questions your friend has about how to achieve what you want, the forum will be happy to help. I assume your friend is a competent developer.

Cheers, Dave

Hello again

Why not try one step at a time

You say you are using PS 1.5.3.1and you want the logo placed in the extreme left.

So, as the logo, by default, is on the left do you want this to be higher or further left so it sits outside of the default page.

Here's a couple of useful resources regarding customising and setting up a new theme for your shop - the information from these should give you ideas of how to achieve what you want:

sorry, it's not enough to provide any kind of help. The specification of your expectactions is too general.

sorry, but changes like that need custom development, not a "single line" solution

i think that it will be hard to find someone who will do all of this for free, it's because you really need HUGE customization ...

then you should seriously look at paid templates, leo digital for example.  The customization if 'very' robust.

The power of customization lies in the back office configuration of the template.  If you are running default or a simple non-responsive theme with little to know single point customization then you should seriously consider a premium paid theme.

I think you would be happy if you did.

There is always Joomla :)
