Help! Shipping Setting Questions?

I am using prestashop 1.4 and I have a question about shipping settings. Since I have three shipping carriers and some of them cannot handle over-weight orders, so how can I set to hide the shipping carriers when customers buying overweight orders and only show the available shipping carrier?

 

For example, how to make sure if a customer bought over 100KG and only one available shipping carrier shows up? Currently, others carriers also show up and their shipping rate is 0 since I do not define and shipping range for the rate here.

I can't remember if such an option existed on 1.4, can you check that you have 'out of range behavior' in the carrier configuration, or ranges?

For the carriers with a weight limit, go to the configuration screen for that carrier and ensure that 'Disable carrier' is selected if the maximum weight for that carrier is exceeded.

 

Then make sure in the 'Weight Ranges' screen that the appropriate weight ranges are setup for each carrier.

The image above shows that Royal Mail delivery option will only appear if the total weight of the order is within 0.05kg in total. Otherwise only the 'Delivery' option will appear.
