ianparker
Good afternoon, I am completely new to prestashop, and am currently evaluating to see if this will work for us as a business. We have many product variations. Some are combination package deals, and other options where you are able to select additional features to "bolt on" to the initial product. Similar to building a custom computer. My Questions: I am trying product combinations, and as I would like to be able to update all prices eventually by a CSV file, I do not want to use "Impact" pricing, as this will involve a lot of manual work! I have therefore selected 0 information pricing, and then a increase impact with the actual price. With this configuration when I change between products the price on the screen does not change the field labelled "Final Price", however if you order the product the correct value is in the cart? Is it possible to add many drop down additional pricing attributes to add to a product. Example below, and will that also update the price as you go along? Is it possible to update pricing automatically via a CSV file based on the product code? Example for 2. RAM: <dropdown> 8GB for $30 16GB for $35 etc etc Thank you so much for your time! I greatly appreciate all your help! Regards, Ian

stottycabanas
Welcome to the forum, Ian. There is a module which sounds like what you are after: http://addons.presta...pc-creator.html Cheers, Dave
ianparker
Hi Dave! Thank you sooo much for your reply! I was close to giving up hope http://www.ssol.co.za/Products/TZ180-10/ Above is the kind of thing I am looking to replicate. So as on that link there are 4 models, and (if there was a price attached to them) depending what one you select would bring up the price on the right hand side. Then there are multiple additional options below in drop downs. So if you add one of the subscriptions, it also adds that to the total cost of that current selection. Currently I am able to make product customisations, but they appear on a drop down, and when you select between them, it doesn't change the price. I haven't even got as far as adding additional subscriptions to it yet. Hope you can help further. Thanks again, Ian
Carolina Custom Designs
Currently I am able to make product customisations, but they appear on a drop down, and when you select between them, it doesn't change the price. Price should update as combinations/attributes are selected in PS. Are you making sure you are properly creating the attributes with individual pricing information? For each attribute you must indicate if the price will increase, decrease or if there will be no change (none). If increase/reduction then you must specify how much. ianparker
Hi Marty, Thank you for your reply. I have made it as an increase however it does not seem to make a difference. I was also wondering, is it possible to make each price the "full" price rather than an increase / decrease? The reasons for that is that they are not always standard within the models, and it will mean manually having to make calculations on price increases / decreases which in the SA market is often. I would like to get to the point where I can just change all the prices in one go using a CSV file and filtering by unique model? Thanks, Ian
ianparker
***UPDATE*** Hi Marty, Sorry I lied......I just checked now, and in order to try and achieve what I was doing above, I made the base price 0, and then just had the increase price, as the actual price. It still does not update, however it does show correctly in the Cart if you add it. here, you may as well look at what I have. It's pretty much a base theme that I somehow messed up, with 1 product on it http://www.integinfosec.com/prestashop/tz-series/8-tz-105.html Thanks again, Ian
stottycabanas
It still does not update, however it does show correctly in the Cart if you add it. Hi Ian, just so I'm 100% clear - what action are you expecting to cause an update to take place? Which item are you expecting to be updated and what value does it start from and what value do you expect after the update? Thanks, Dave
ianparker
Hi, From that URL. If I select the model drop down list you can choose between Hardware Only (R4,501) and Wireless Hardware Only (R 5,889). I expect the Final Price to update to the cost of that model. If I select each and add them to the cart, these prices to reflect on the cart, but NOT on the final price section where I would expect them to show the cost of your selection. Thanks again for all your help! *****edit***** I checked on your website Dave, and when I change the price of a bowl it automatically changes the price that is on screen. This is what I do not have working. Maybe I must do a fresh install as possibly I messed it up with too many theme installations. stottycabanas
Ian, just to confirm, I don't see a price of R5,889 when I select the Wireless product. Nor can I add it to the cart - I get a message 'You already have the maximum quantity available for this product'. Can you provide a screenshot of the Combinations page for the product in the back office. Thanks, Dave
