Jquery seems to be causing problems in PS 1.5.4.1 (on some browsers)

Recommended Posts

I posted about my problems a few days ago:

http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/310073-layered-navigation-not-working-with-friendly-urls-ps-1541/

Now I found out that it's not the combination of layered navigation & friendly URLs.

It seems to be Jquery 1.7.2 which is included in the PS 1.5.4.1 package.

When debugging I noticed that the redirect-behaviour (as explained in the linked topic) only happens in Firefox (27.0.1) and Chrome (33.0.1750).

When using Internet Explorer (11.0.9600) or Opera (12.16) the browser will NOT redirect to the main index page.

I then discovered that Firebug and Chrome Developer Tools throw JS warnings which are all Jquery related.

To test whether that could be the source of my problems, I disabled the loading/caching of JQ 1.7.2 and forced loading newer versions of JQ. Tests with both JQ 1.9 & JQ 1.11 showed no redirect problems.

Now the problem is that I cannot simply use JQ 1.9 (not even with the migration pack). There are far too many other problems that I have noticed when disabling JQ 1.7 so that's no option.

What I would like to know:

Are there any people using PS 1.5.4.1 with layered navigation activated?

If so, please put a link to your shop here, or send it to me by PM, so I can quickly test the filtering behaviour from my browsers here.
