Shipping Insurance & Customer Satisfaction - US & European Users

Hi, to all US and European users, i have a question.

I am trying to decide whether to integrate shipping insurance in the check out of my Australian website for International customers.

Tell me, as a customer, is shipping insurance important to you? Should I include it automatically? let International Customers opt in or let them opt out?

Would appreciate any thoughts on this.

I don't want to lose business because of the lack of shipping insurance if its important to our overseas customers and I don't want to include it in shipping costs if most US and European Customers don't want it or don't feel they need it - It raises shipping by $8 AUD, by the way.
