albigin
Hi, My website is happily running on Prestashop 1.5.6. But lately I installed an addon that didn't work as I expected. So, I uninstalled it and deleted it. Since then when I try to manage the Modules section I get the following error message: [PrestaShop] Fatal error in module Module.php(1096) : eval()'d : Can't use function return value in write context The site is running smoothly, but I can't access the Modules section. What did happen? Where was I wrong? What sould I do? Thank you for helping
vekia
hello module that you installed uses some overrides? can you verify it? in addition, you removed it permanently from prestashop filesystem (from modules directory) ?
NemoPS
That usually happens when one of the modules is broken, or uses a wrong syntax like isset(Tools::getValue('value'))
albigin
Hello vekia and Nemo1, thank your for your swift response. The module I added, then uninstalled and then physically (permanently) removed from the directory "modules" is: Module Moving / Scrolling Text Banner for Header - Marquee I don't know if it uses overrides. Would really appreciate your help!
vekia
check module library, does it contain the /override/ directory?
albigin
I did check. One folder: blockmarquesina. Inside: there is NO /override/ directory. just nine files.
vekia
ok, so module doesn't use overrides, so, problem is not related to overrides, it's somewhere else, but related to module as Nemo mentioned. instead of "Module Moving / Scrolling Text Banner for Header - Marquee" addon, you installed some other addon? albigin
No, not of the same kind. But I do have other addons: skype call, login block + facebook, Google merchant center, You Tube Product Videos

albigin
Hi Nemo1 thank you for your advice. I did ask for a paid help and member nino88 solved my problem. Unfortunately I don't know how. Ask him. He just said that the module I installed was not compatible.
