UncommonTrend
Hey guys, I have to edit at least 1500 products by the end of the upcoming week and I was wondering if anybody had any experience with Store Commander? It looks like a neat module; however, it's very expensive and I feel as if I need some reassurance from forum members before I purchase it. I couldn't find any reviews online from their customers other than the testimonials on their website. Anybody whose had experience with this module, please help! I need your opinion of it. nikolaosp
After working with it for some time, I would say it is worth the money. It helps when you need to work faster than usual and it has some functions that prestashop lacks. For instance the ability to find which products don't have images, or which images are not useful any more and can be deleted. I woudl say go for it.
UncommonTrend
did you try the free download? I will be trying it prior to my purchase; however, I still need some reviews from people who have used the module because the free version does not include the features I need. After working with it for some time, I would say it is worth the money. It helps when you need to work faster than usual and it has some functions that prestashop lacks. For instance the ability to find which products don't have images, or which images are not useful any more and can be deleted. I woudl say go for it. Would you be able to tell me if this program allows me to alter UPC numbers and meta tag information more easily compared to going into each product and editing the UPC number for each combination manually? Many of my products come with at least five to seven sizes with five to seven colors. It took me about an hour to complete one shirt UPC edit.
drgify
Hi I'm using with PS_1.5, SC Lite license, with about 3500 products. I can say its ok. BUT recently i got some very strange experience: - i'm building a new shop in PS_1.6, and just installed the SC Free version - in Backoffice> Categories everything is perfect, ordered by creating ID nr. - BUT in SC Free version every time i open it, the order of categories is changing randomly ! - even if i try to save the it manually ( i organize the categories back manually Catalog menu> Tools> Check and fix categories), after a refresh everything goes again randomly................. So i'm thinking maybe isn't ready for PS_1.6 ??? I've tried to contact them on support, but the answer was also extremely bad: "if i'll buy a SC Solo license, than they'll help me, other ways i must try to find answer on their robot answer page" ... I tried, but didn't find anything, and while the PS_1.6 was released on 17th march, i think they don't have any update yet... Anybody same error on PS_1.6 ? benjamin utterback
I would wait until there is an official Update on their side. The message they have is basically saying 1.6 is not stable, which is nonsense. Their module isn't fully compatible with 1.6 yet.
El Patron
good? (very good). This is my opinion. managing shop products and categories is a challenge. Being able manage shop from desktop has great advantages. The developer of this module has excellent reputation. If you have specific questions about compatibility, then follow product site recommendations or contact the developer directly.
generalexperts
The Bad - From my experience this module doesn't work. There are still bugs to where I can't do a full product upload. I still have to check each page to make sure it actually worked. Customer support is awful! The person responding is so unhelpful, rude and very unresponsive. (Search Prestashop for English Help forums... It doesn't exist). You will be on your own. Find a module where there is a community of people that have this). ALL their training information must be paid for and it's not cheap! Maybe that's why customer support doesn't want to help me. I have spent so much time just trying to configure this CSV document, it's been such a waste of my time! The good - I can view all descriptions for each product at once, along with SEO meta data. lateral
Ok, here is my 2 cents worth. I have been using Store Commander for since September 2014. I started with the free version and based upon the excellent support that they provided me during this time (thank you Sonia!), I decided to purchase the full version. My shop has almost 600 products that I had to add manually to the database and is still growing and there is absolutely no way I could have done this without Store Commander and not gone crazy! I would estimate that what takes 2-3 seconds in SC would take minutes in the standard Prestashop back end. A simple think like adding accessories to 100 products is done in 5 seconds in SC but would take forever in standard Prestashop. Global prices changes, seconds in SC....forever in standard Prestashop. The customer support has been fantastic and very patient and I can not recommend this product high enough.....as I use it more and more I am discovering functionality that really helps me maintain my shop. Anyway, that's my opinion Regards Greg. .

kaitzu
I have tested this Store commander but didn´t get good vibes from it.I prefer Store Manager from Emagicone, i have a paid version from it. They have a support which works very fine and smoothly. But test both choices and choose the best for you.http://addons.prestashop.com/en/administration-tools-prestashop-modules/2937-store-manager-for-prestashop.htmlhttp://www.prestashopmanager.com/ Edited February 18, 2015 by kaitzu (see edit history)

lateral
Hi Peter I have been using SC for many months now and I can honestly say that their support is very very good as I have used it on many occasions especially asking questions etc. I have the paid version of SC. I have found that it is best to log your support question via their website with as much information as possible. I have found that they usually reply within 24 hours. tuk66
PrestaShop is moving target. I don't envy developers of those Coommanders/Managers. Anyway, you should always test actions on the test server first. Without that, I wouldn't sleep.
