Importing more than 9000 products via CSV

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am importing product daily, about 9000 of them. The csv files do right as I have developed a macro to format it all. The problem I got is that I cannot import them in one go, it stops at about 6000 products and then I have to import the rest. I supposed is a problem with the DB and writting times but dont know where to change it. Does anyone could give me a hand?

Thanks a lot

I want to offer you the minimum efforts solution using which you will be able to update your products directly from suppliers' file automatically on timely basis (as often as you wish). It is possible with Store Manager for Prestashop and its addon called Automated Product Import.
Using the combination of the mentioned products you will be able to run import locally, so it will not overload your server. Thus, it is more stable solution - http://www.prestashopmanager.com/useful-articles/how-to/how-to-accomplish-prestashop-cron-import-with-automated-product-import-addon/
You can import as many products as you want. Also you can set up and scheduled planner and updates will be running automatically each time period you wish.
