i have installed prestashop using softaculous but its not working

i installed prestashop using softaculous from my cpanel 

after completing installation process it is giveing me this error 

 

 

Link to database cannot be established: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2000] mysqlnd cannot connect to MySQL 4.1+ using the old insecure authentication. Please use an administration tool to reset your password with the command SET PASSWORD = PASSWORD('your_existing_password'). This will store a new, and more secure, hash value in mysql.user. If this user is used in other scripts executed by PHP 5.2 or earlier you might need to remove the old-passwords flag from your my.cnf file

 

 

 

what to do ??

Hi,

 

I am from the Softaculous team. It seems that you are using MySQL 4.1+ hence the database password was stored with 41 bytes i.e. new hashing method. It looks like you have set the MySQL config to use old password hashes. You should remove the below line from your my.cnf :

old_passwords=1

If you do not have access to the conf file you can ask your host to do that for you.

 

Note : Softaculous does not handle the database password hashing it is done by MySQL itself.
