1. Create settings.inc file

have you granted correct permissions to files, 

also what about chown settings (server side settings related to filesystem)

I am hosting my site with hosting company

the files for the site in httpdocs folder wich i cant change permissions on it

strange because you should have got a possibility to change permission of files

i still suppose that this problem can be related to permission settings

Hi 

I tried to install in sub directory 'presta' under the root directory

it works fine 

after that i moved the all the files to the root directory and delete that 'presta' directory

but when i go to my site (exsale.net) i get:

 

" file not found /presta/index.php? "

 

it still going to the folder where i installed it

any help?

You have an actual re-direction to: http://exsale.net/presta/index.php?

 

Login on your back-office and correct under the preferences SEO & URL's the base URI to / if your shop is now in root and not in /presta/. Change it to / and save.
