sgtbash
Hi all,I was just wondering if there is a way that I can do a discount based on purchasing another item in the shop.I am looking to transfer over my nineplus.com site to Prestashop from evil Actinic - Prestashop already knocks the socks of evil Actinic but I cant find how to do this...If a customer buys a board online they can buy a boardbag and fin at a discounted price if they want it.In evil Actinic, this is acheived by adding the associated product (bag and fin) to the main product (surfboard) and then overriding the sales price to the discounted rate.I could just add attributes with changes to price onto the board, but need it to alter the stock, and list as a product line on the invoice / order details.Does anyone know if this can be done, or how I could approach trying to do it.Thanks in advanceDan
tomerg3
As far as I know, prestashop doesn't offer this feature. There are a couple of ways to handle this, and they all require changes to some prestashop core files.Do you currently use attributes in your shop? sgtbash
Not yet, as the site hasn't been brought over into Prestashop - I'm making sure I can do everything I need before changing over.I have a couple of test sites that I can try it on if I need to though.ThanksDan
tomerg3
Now that I think about it more, the only way that comes to mind is creating a new attribute on the fly for the 2nd product, and making the price impact be the price of the product / 2I'll be curious to know if there's another way. sgtbash
Hmm, ok...I know its probably a lot of internal coding to get it to work...The benefits of Prestashop over evil Actinic already highly overweigh the chore of 'having to go all the way in and update the stock' so its not too bad.I'm still going to be transferring over to Prestashop as soon as I can and would still want to do it at some point so if there are any ideas that would be great.Dan
